16-F Bearing Repeater Compass
Product Description:
A heading repeater is used to indicate the heading (or bow direction) of a vessel. The heading refers to the direction of the vessel's bow (forward) relative to geographic north, or magnetic north in the case of a magnetic compass. The heading information is transmitted electrically from the main compass (electronic or magnetic) to the heading repeater. The heading repeater displays the heading information and is independent of the installation location.
The 16-F heading repeater can indicate the direction in two ways:
1. Analog display with a 360-degree scale.
2. Digital display with a precision of 0.1 degrees.
The brightness of the 16-F heading repeater's illumination can be adjusted using two buttons on the side of the housing:
1. Press the red button to increase brightness.
2. Press the green button to decrease brightness.
